About Greenvine Baptist Church

Greenvine Baptist Church started as the Ebenezer German Baptist Church on the third Sunday in October of 1861 under the leadership of a young German immigrant, Frank Kiefer.  The current sanctuary was completed in 1879 and received an extensive renovation in 2015-16 taking it back to its near authentic beauty.  We are a member of the North American Baptist Conference.  Greenvine Baptist Church is the oldest German Baptist Church in Texas and the 3rd oldest German Baptist Church in the United States.

Pastor Jack's Welcome

Twelve years ago in March, the congregation here welcomed my wife, Karen, and I to the ministry here at Greenvine.  We became a part of the local family of God that meets here.  We are enjoying the many facets of ministry here and feel like we have always been a part of the work of God in Washington County.

Our music is a combination of contemporary and classic hymns.  Our teaching is a  verse-by-verse instruction from a book of the Bible.

Currently we are studying the book of Ephesians on Sunday mornings.  We are studying the book of Acts  on Wednesday evenings.  Continue to check this website or call the church for more information.

The people here are friendly, the fellowship sweet.  The food is wonderful when we have a meal together.  Our time together is always enjoyable and a learning experience for all.

Maybe that is why we say, “When you’re here, you are home.”

Sincerely,

Jack Faulkner
